How to Get a Perfect Bridal Airbrush Tan

Considering the history many adults have had with spray-on tans, it is no wonder that so many brides are scared to get a bridal airbrush tan before their wedding day. Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. The fear of getting less-than-perfect results might be the only reason you decide to forego the tanning session. You may prefer to have your makeup expertly applied in the hopes of giving you a golden glow. In spite of the orange, streaked, or bronzy tans of the past, there are better options today.

Improved Tanning Solutions and Application Methods

Today, tanning solutions are no longer formulated with the same ingredients that they were in the past. Tamar Vezirian explains that “I have formulated my special tanning solution with a number of nutrients that are good for the skin and to provide custom color from the sunkissed glow of a bridal airbrush tan to the deepest, darkest tan.” Although most contain DHA as the primary ingredient which causes the skin to tan, the amount of DHA will determine how dark the tan will be. In most cases, brides prefer a sun-kissed glow that only enhances their natural beauty. The days of unnatural bronzing are over.

The way that tanning solutions are applied has also come a long way. Instead of automatic machines, some of the higher-end tanning salons use highly skilled technicians who apply the solution by hand. Getting an airbrush tan is no longer a shot in the dark. Instead, the color can be matched to your skin to give you that “blushing bride” appearance that you want.

Customized tanning can also include contouring to enhance your appearance even more. Darker and lighter solution will create depth and highlights to accent cheekbones, enhance muscles, slenderize your nose or bring out cheekbones.

Plan Ahead for Your Bridal Airbrush Tan

Anything that you do for the first time can be scary. Getting an airbrush tan before the biggest day of your life may seem horrifying! That’s why you should have a trial run a couple of weeks before the actual wedding date.

Contact the salon and tell them you want to schedule an appointment for a custom tan application. This is your chance to see if the color you have in mind is really what you want for your wedding day.

The salon should be able and willing to work with you to create the perfect look for your needs. If they don’t offer custom airbrush tanning, then they aren’t the right salon for the job. This means that you may not even get the same results the second time that you did the first time.

Once you have achieved the perfect bridal airbrush tan, you can be confident that you will get the same magnificent tan the next time you have the solution applied. Just make the appointment for the final application a couple of days before the wedding. A trial tan is the ideal way to get a natural looking tan that is befitting the bride on her wedding day!
